Research: Heart Math

Trish Medical, Research

Much of the work at Riding Beyond is based on the large heart of the horse and what happens when we take the implications of that seriously.

To take on the big tasks in our lives and be sustained, we must have a strong connection to the heartful things in life where four of the heart’s attributes reside:

At times we must set aside the ego’s talent for discernment and noticing the polarities of right and wrong, and move into a state of

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

where we find ourselves able to experience

COMPASSION for others and for ourselves.

In that state we see the

INNATE HARMONY in all that we know and see and experience, however difficult.

When we are in this state of being, we can experience a

HEALING PRESENCE, coming from within us or from without us, like from a horse.

Listen to this important research through the Institute of Heart Math that validates our work.

Heart-to-Heart Communication With Horses

With Ann Baldwin, Ph.D. and Rollin McCraty, Ph.D.

Webinar

Researchers have explored the horse/human relationship a great deal in recent years, particularly the therapeutic benefits of interacting with horses. We are pleased to present the research and findings of Ann Baldwin, Ph.D. In the webinar, Heart-to Heart Communication With Horses, she shares her insights into this unique relationship along with results and conclusions of studies she led in the fall of 2014 at Borderlands Center for Equine Assisted Services in Arizona.

Baldwin examines how a group of adults, age 55 and up, would respond to the “equine-facilitated learning” exercises Sending Appreciation to Horse and Con Su Permiso (With Your Permission). Equine-facilitated learning, she explains, “involves working with equine practitioners to facilitate personal growth and development of life skills through equine interactions.”
